The CGKA has an Blowout planned for August 11
We need someone with some graphic design & photoshop skills to step up and help design a Logo & Poster-- Images Provided
We also need volunteers to help run the event

The Blowout is a 17 mile downwind race starting in Stevenson, Wa and ending at the sandbar in Hood River.
The event is open to all competent kiters
$35 entry fee for non-cgka members/ $30 entry fee for members
Not sure if you want to race? Step up and help make the event go smoothly!
This event is is a gorge tradition and its resurection is long over due!!

is this the official event release? I didn't find any info at the cgka link
I'd be happy to help promote up in seattle if this is the correct information.
I assume the fee is to cover any liability requirements?

| There was a guy practicing yesterday doing a downwinder from Cascade Locks to Home Valley (I assume) on a pair of water skis with kite and he was moving downwind really fast. That looks like it may be the setup if you want to win. |

Yay, count me in on the race!
As far as graphic design goes.......Amarett Cannon is a fabulous artist. She is local and does a lot of event poster, etc. I will let her know about the event and have her contact someone at CGKA. |

| We need to rally many people to race if this is going to fun event! If you know anyone who wants to throw down some donation money, please have them PM Shay (Pacifichigh). So far our generous contributors are Slingshot, Bigwinds, and Secondwind! The money goes to the various fees, posters, tee shirts for competitors, etc. Its shaping up to be a great event! Oh and don't forget to tell your friends that we are going to have the killer party afterwards at the sandspit parking lot! We won't be able to drive on the sandbar or have a fire, but we can still celebrate the summer fun and the winners of the race! |
