Alaska Airlines luggage policy. A lot of us have gotten used to Alaska Airlines waiving the overweight luggage fee for kiteboarding gear. Due to the abuse of this policy by a few people--I've heard of 90+ pound bags being bragged about--that policy is now rescinded. Kiteboarding bags will now be charged overweight fees if over 50 pounds. Oversize is still allowed up to 115 linear inches. (Length + height + width.)
