Fri Oct 31, 25 3:21 pm    Shuttle or Van from Cabo Airport to LB |
				     |

				Hey Gang,

It's almost that time of year - seeking advice for reliable ride with gear from SJD Airport up to LB

Any favorites?

ecobajatours - has some vague info about a van ??? sadly they don't answer the phone

Also sounds like www.cheapcaboshuttle.com/los-barriles-shuttle/ but that's basically renting a whole car which seems great for a group vs. one happy kiter traveling solo.

Thanks for your help...

Water temp today is 84.6

A couple of questions first: will you be renting a car, bike or quad? Or walking? Where are you staying?

Renting a car from Cactus is cheaper than a shuttle + bike or quad rental.

If you're walking, there's a couple of good choices for shuttle service. If you want to go really cheap, there's a bus that will drop you off in town. That's a bit of a PITA... You can reserve a shuttle through https://velabaja.com/ That's a VERY reliable shuttle, and is almost always waiting for you as you walk out of the airport.

Walking is definitely doable, especially if you are staying at Playa Del Sol--they have a shuttle van to take you around town. There's a few good restaurants up on the highway that are a bit far for walking, plus one beach bar at the north end of town.

The best margaritas in town are at the round bar--ocean front--at Playa Del Sol. Although there's a new ocean front bar in town this year--Pully's. They may be good too, but I can't vouch for them yet.

If you're going to rent any gear, Wahoo Wind Company right on the beach is the best deal going. New for this year, they also have gear lockers. If you're staying away from the beach you may want to reserve one for your dates so you don't have to haul your gear to & from the beach each day. Those lockers will likely fill up early, so reserve one soon if you'll want one. They're located at a great launch too.

When are you going?

				Hey Nak

Thx for the reply - going Nov 9-21 staying in town just down the road from Playa del Sol.

May just get a car from Cactus?? TBD - but know the area very well from prior trips and will mostly keep close to the beach and alternate between my fav breakfast spot and fish taco joints and pop up dinners...

I'm only 3 blocks from the water so happy to walk in town and to the beach - lots of time and no hurry mode...

Thx for the VELA thought - will check with them. Is the bus option thru ecotoursbaja?

Pully’s is basically just Lazy Daze 2, same cooks and waiters. And not far from the nice pic posted.

And not sure if this helps but the Ecobaja shuttle only runs from the airport to LB at 12:30 & 2:30 so not sure when your flight gets in, a lot of them get in later.

				Thanks team,

there a many many options and lots of random guys on FB that are all probably great.

My .02 think the ecotours bus thing was cheapest but not easy to book ahead online - so instead went with these guys who are the default for the fancy hotels and also VELA.

https://ttcabo.com/airport-transfers/

Booking was easy - website intuitive - and they answer the phone with perfect english

Winner, winner - maybe a bit more expensive but still kinda cheap at $90/each way

Sunny Dayz ahead

Also might want to put something on the BPE (BajaPonyExpress). There used to be a lot of ride sharing to & from the airport. Haven’t checked lately but might be able to get someone to split the cost.
