Soon I'll be practicing waterstarts on my 157 Jarvis.

Currently my board has 4 fins; does having those 2 extra fins make the learning curve easier for beginner kiters?

Of course, I see kiters at the Sandbar riding on skimboards with no fins!

Thanks as always for y'alls great advice Very Happy

4 should be fine. I have been riding a board and it's only has 3 1/2 fins from a slider miss hap and it still rides fine.

The jarvis came stock with 6 the 2 extra heel side may help you go up wind. I say leave them in untill you can go up wind and then try it with them out.
