This has been lightly annoying me ever since I got my kite. What are the two little plastic clip+straps on the bottom corners of the slingshot kite backpacks for? I thought maybe the bar but that seems to go on the side. I guess I haven't kited for a few days so this problem surfaced again. Any explanation would be nice so I can put this to rest. This is kind of like discovering new useful features on your snowboarding jacket after owning it for 3 years, except I don't know what to use it for.

If you are talking about the 06 bags...the ones on the front go around your waist like a regular backpack and the ones on the back go around your board...then there is a set at the top that go around the upper part of the board. Not sure if the 07 bag is any different.

Is this what you mean?

There are also straps to decrease the size of the bag and two bungees for the bottom of the pump. I'll admit to actually liking the 05 briefcase as it was so compact and square...that 3 kites took up very little car space.

right below the lowest board strap there are two small ones, kind of like on a hiking backpack where you would stash your sleeping mat.
