I think you stated this in a Lyle post recently, the opposing current increases your apparent wind speed, so you had a little help from mother nature, unless you were in some sheltered water with no current. That won't happen out on the waves in the ocean. You'll need a bigger "smaller kite", especially if you want to point sail.
