Do any of you know if there are modifications that you can make to an 06 waroo that will allow it to relaunch easier?

There aren't and modifications for relaunch. There are modifications to make it more stable in high winds and turn differently.

Thanks for the responses. I demo'd an 06 7M waroo and couldn't get it to relaunch. i had the guy who owned the kite right beside me telling me what to do and the kite wouldn't tip up. It would swing over the edge of the wind window and then sort of tip up a little on its side and thats it. I tried everything - but nothing worked. I sat there probably for about 20 minutes Confused I really like the way it flys but if I can't get it to relaunch.

Sounds like the wind was to light to be flying the 7m? A lot of SLEs won't relaunch properly if it's not windy enough for them to fly.

yah.. i have to agree Waroos are insanely easy to relaunch *IF* there is enough wind. But if not, they're a bitch. I hear this is an SLE problem in general.

Getting married does not help you relaunch the Waroo. To the contrary...

put my sonic m down at steve on thursday last in the dying evening wind. sob to get it back up. no 5th line, enough pull to make for a long swim, but not enough to reerect the mother. . . Crying or Very sad

I fly a 7m waroo in light wind alot, my other kite is a 15m C.
If you pull on the front line opposite to the direction you want to launch,
that usually rolls the waroo onto its back and the tip catches the wind.
It can be a little hard to reach the middle lines, but usually does the trick.

When the wind is light, I swim towards the kite till it is almost on its back and then point the bar at the kite.
But don't swim to much or it will roll. This works well with my 16m 2006 Waroo - YMMV.

terremoto.. noticed your post on the Best Forum asking about sizes. There was a good survey of Gorge bow riders (mostly Waroo) in this recent thread:

I was there too with a 7m (started a bit early when it was blowin 30+)
I was amazed at how it stayed in the air when all the 11 and 12m's fell out fo the sky. Must be because it is much lighter. I was very surprised that I was able to body drag in when the guys with the 12m's had to swim. Is there any shred of truth to this theory?

It is precisely because it is lighter.
