Trevor is dangerous, don't listen to him!!!
Phil, I expect to see you out there. If not kiting, just drinking a beer, pulling people's "Oh Shit" handles on the beach... I don't remember you doing that, but Trevor blamed it on you!

Its only safe if you use a Board Leash, and no helmet. |
And a "C" kite because they don't have 3000% depower |
OK> Gear check of a person wanting to "try" your gear at the beach:
1. 2002 or older kite
2. Make sure your "Demo" board has a leash so they don't loose it
3. a C kite is a given..its 2002 or older, they have like 2 or 3 inches of throw should be enought depower right?
4. Make sure Trevor is around to verify your safety system is working as expected while you are flying it.
Trevor--

Anyway I am so beat from yesterday, don't think I will make it... or will I? |
Very true phil but I think with these warm temp...It should blow way past your bed time...It was blowing way past 9pm last night...

I'm pretty sure the Sauvie's sensor broke (probably from spinning too fast), 'cause it hasn't updated since 7:00 still.

what sort of wind speed are we expecting from sauvie's today? high teens, maybe low 20's? usairnet says 12 mph at scappoose all afternoon. Would be nice to save a drive clear out to the gorge again.

I don't really know, but 15-19 is what was forecasted on ikite. Thing is, who knows where the sensor is actually on the island (at least I don't have a clue)... and it always seems windier than the readings. I think the sensor was showing low 20s when Amery was on a 5m earlier this year. The Seattle-Portland pressure was like 0.06 steady, so that's probably not helping a whole lot either. Just need some good HEAT in Portland!
