Rappin at the Spit, total sweetness. He used a car battery converter of some sort for the speakers. We need to do this more often. Cool

PostMon Jul 02, 07 9:09 am    SWEET day at the spit!!!! Reply with quote

I'm so glad that the music worked out like it did!! Avery(aka Energy) and I were expecting to play for a few people in the parking lot, low key, chill event. But to have all those kiters on the beach, all the pro's and locals throwin down on the rails and jumps was cool enough for us to truck those speakers and gear down to the sand and out in the middle of everything! I think it really gave a good vibe for ALL who were out there.

Big thanx go to the liquid force team for letin us borow there kite's to block the wind, sand, and water from all the equipment. It would have been hard to do with just a tarp. Thumb's Up

If everyone enjoyed the music, I would like to do this again sometime!! It is absolutely possible to bring that gear down to the water again! This was kinda a practice run to see how it all worked out. Next time we'll bring two big batteries down to keep things bumpin for most of the day and a second mic so myself or any other musicians and sing/hip hop along!

My bro Avery(Energy) is available for house parties, events, or anyone who would like to hear his music! You can call me at 503-936-7480 to get his number if you are interested!

Ian

Anyone catch the type of wake skate in 0451? Looks flatter than most other wake skates I've seen.

The music was the highlight of the day! Definitely need to do that again! If we plan ahead, we can use the boat to move the eq.

Forrest- Morris was riding a standard LF Anthem 44 wakeskate-

After 2 weeks of the LF team at the house I am ready for some serious sleep!

So stoked with the vibe this year down at the sandbar! This community has really come together this year for such an overall positive vibe! [/list]

It was a rush!!! Only got a couple passes at it, neither were great (made the rookie mistake and didn't put enough weight on my toes.)

Afterwards I was buzzing and seeing spots I was so amped!

I did crash on my second run, it didn't hurt too bad just kind of slid off of it.

Thanks Joby for building a killer slider!!!
