Haven't posted on here in a while because, well, I haven't kited in a while (injury, crowds and busy with...). However, I have a new kitemobile, of sorts. Imported into Ft. Lauderdale last month and brought it home (Slowly. Very slowly, because of the shit trailer). I've spent the last month tweaking this, repairing that, upgrading this and that (mostly on the Euro spec'd, underwhelming trailer) and dealing with four years of deferred maintenance. Hope to actually splash it soon. Should be a hoot. Perhaps it will make a decent platform from which to kite (would only be out on lighter days, unless gunkholed on bigger days. So perhaps or perhaps not). If you see us out there in a couple weeks, wave, flip us off, or kite on over (if anchored) and have a beer.

The kite spots this rare beauty will eventually take you will be amazing. Looking forward to seeing it on the river as you dial it in this summer.

| Thanks!!! Pretty excited. It's been a journey for sure. Started dreaming of a multihull in 2012 (a catamaran for retirement (still many years away)). This is the first big step towards that goal. Mission creep took over (started wanting a 24' Corsair last year, then a 27', then a 28' then a 31' then decided on a 970). Kind of like using Porsche 930 for driver's ed, but we'll it figure out (cautiously). In a couple years, once reasonably skilled, we hope to trailer to Fla and sail to the Bahamas in the Spring for the annual vacation. Afterwards, we'll sail back and I'll trailer it home (I suspect I'll be trailering solo). On the HR Marina wait list for a slip, but I'm way down the line, so probably not getting one for a year (or so).

Awesome! Draws under 2’ with the dagger up, that gets you into some nice spots.
Big fire at the Dalles marina Saturday, might be some room down there. It’s a pretty nice marina.

| Thanks! Still a lot to do, but I should wrap the immediate issues this weekend and hopefully splash next. I have a lot of additional stuff I'd like to do over the next year, so having the boat in my driveway/shop is actually easier than down at the marina. So, not too fussed about waiting for a slip for a bit.
