Ha! Weather can be camp-able, but Sol can tell you how cold it can get. The Prairie Inn is always right there.

And I'm guessing Covid isn't much of a thing on the Camas.

FYI

Called and Prairie Inn is OPEN - probably the best and most simple option...

Good timing. Sunday should be an epic around Raynolds. Ant. Flats looks really good for the bluebird mornings & Bondurant looks like its shaping up with the current storm

I drove across highway 20 yesterday. Snow was shallow - sagebrush poking up everywhere except the summit just west of the Pine turnoff.
Visibility was limited with 35 degree and drizzle.
Could not tell if the summit area was kiteable.
Could be decent coverage there but gonna need fresh snow after the snain I drove thru.
At the snowmobile park the sagebrush was poking up. I would not have kited there due to lack of snow..... but I guess it would be possible.

I've ridden over my share of sage brush there and even exposed dirt and rock around the launches. Classic light wind battles down low to gain elevation where the wind and coverage are always better. You find the leeward powder stashes and make do.

Good luck!

Are Dan and Mona still running the Inn?
