12 - 13 knots on the computer model at event site and swell city, means it is probably gonna blow 20+mph in the afternoon, usually starts around 2pm'ish during the month of june. You can look forward to howling west wind all day long in july and august, but with June being a little colder than normal it just takes a bit.
it has shut off momentarily, but crap happens. I gotta work till 5 anyway, so hopefully it'll be blowing good by then. It is damn near nuking out east (27-32 @rufus and 19-31 @ dougs).

you'll learn to take the computer forecasts with a grain of salt. look at the forecast text:
West wind 25-30 in the Eastern Gorge.
The trough is pulling through with strong onshore flow behind it. Gorge gradients are increasing and westerly flow aloft is mixing to the surface. Eastern Gorge sites still under high clouds but should be clearing this afternoon. Central Gorge sites will be partly cloudy and inconsistent. Coastal sites should remain cloudy except south of Cape Blanco where there should be clearing and late NW wind.
• Strongest Gorge wind will be east of The Dalles in the afternoon with west wind in the 25-30 range. Central Gorge: west 19-23 at times but not consistently.
• Jones Beach cloudy with west wind 10-14. Sauvies NW 4-8.

Got a killer session on Lyle in the dangerous flat water. 7m Waroo and my 144 Mission and newly grip taped skim board.
