The tent appears to be modeled on the Roskilde stage canopy in Denmark:

Anybody know what the official policy is for camping at Roosevelt? the guys from Seattle said they had to take down there kite tent once the 'park offical' came by.

is it car camping only or can you set up full tent camping with stove and all?

cheers,

Ryan

We didn't have to take down the kite tent. The "Park official" just made us turn our music off. She walked up "Ok, who owns the music??? It's CLOSE enough to 10, so it's going to have to be off." It was only 9:40... I think she actually ended up reaching through Wiley's car window and turning it off herself, taking his keys, and giving them back a few minutes later. lol

There is full tent camping available, grills, stoves, etc.

You have given me a great idea for using some old kites!

Do you remember when you were a kid and you would build a couch cushion tent?

The ulitimate tent for sure!

I didn't take too many shots other than of Saturday night so I figured I'd share a couple. I think the tent was disbanded due to fear of the morning winds relocating the kites to Umatilla.

jesse shows us his secret to holding his 12m octane down in strong winds...

Man that dude can do it all, kiteloop, land blind, and walk the tightrope!

Johnny's not too bad at it either, right anna?

some shots of the kite tent

wide angle shot of the "international branded" tent

darren, while that 13m waroo wingtip does look like a wall, it's not really meant to lean on! ha ha

good times had by all,

stringy
