“No soup for you!” Thanks to all the covidiots mobbing the trails and not practicing social distancing, all state parks have closed, the Port is closing the event site and the state is considering closing all beaches. 2020 might end up being the spring/summer without kiting. Good times.

Bill Paxton summed it up more eloquently then I think any of us ever could have........

Personally, even if everywhere else stayed open and the event site was closed, I don't think I'd want to kite in any of those other spots anyway. It's bad enough when there's no wind in HR.

Thanks to all the people who swarmed the coast this last weekend, we now have lost access to much if not all the Oregon coast for kiting. Go home and stay home!!

Lincoln County Commissioners are asking tourists and nonresidents to stay away from here until this mess ends:

Great move taking away the best places people can go to recreate and get away from each other.

Just drove through the event site, no indication of a closure. No signs.

Any supporting evidence of a closure?

Chains and signs across the event site, it was deserted.

Signs at the kids park across from Solstice, a few folks hanging out.

A sign at the Spit, dog walkers huddled up discussing the possibilities, but no one one on the sand bar.

Thirty acres of sandbar, empty.

Signs at the marina entrance.

But you can use the waterfront pathway.......
