If people are still working around 6pm, I will have my 4x4 truck to haul wood, chainsaw as well.

I wonder with spring run off is it going to be possible to lower the water low like last time? It looks like the 3 main piles are soaked this morning...

Yes, the Corps will drop the river for us again. This Saturday is out, but I am waiting for the go ahead from the Port & Corps for June 16th. We have the track hoe on order from The Rental Center, and they are being totally cool about the rental cost. Mel has agreed to drive it. I am waiting to hear back from Tidewater Barge lines to see if we can send the pieces away via water instead of land. SDS corp. said too expensive. We are making progress, I appreciate everyones patience. I will make a post when we get the go ahead.

I am totally willing to help out in any way that I can the 9th or the 16th. The beach looked sooo much better after the last cleanup and from what I have heard from locals, the kite community did get most of the credit! Let's work together to make our new sand bar a safe and fun place for all to enjoy! Then let's get drunk and PARTY around a bonfire!!!

Count me in. I missed the last clean up cause I was playing in Hatteras. But I don't plan on missing another blender party - Thanks Pepe.

So how did it go? Sorry I couldn't help I'm down in Cali visiting mom, but there in spirit. Been checking the sandbar cam, see a few cars out there and can't make out the piles so maybe they are gone? Hope its a good party. Thumb's Up

Yeah, he got out. Although I think he got stuck later trying to get a jetski unstuck Smile That truck was a serious piece of work. He pulled out some serious logs and stumps that were amazing. Snapped the chain on one pull!

The first time he did make it out, but he had to make several attempts at it. The first time he was trying to pull the "Tree and root ball" out of hood river, but just sank 4ft. down
I think the second time he was just crusing around and did get stuck.
I guess once they pulled him out, he oppend his door, and a ton of water came out from the inside and he was soaked Shocked
I believe he said the truck had about 1000 ft/lbs of torque.
You gotta love the smoke stacks out of the bed of the truck. Thumb's Up
The guy pulled some serious logs straight out of the sand.

Dodge Blue truck driver, if your reading this..thanks for the help!
