Anyone who wants to ride the Gorge in HIGH winds want sthe 07 5W, or the equivalent in the brand of choice-I really don't want to get into a my brand vs. your brand thing. Pat was killing it on a new 5m Fuel! I had a total blast on my 07 5m W in the Nuke Fest that was Roosevelt last Sunday. Rock solid and stable in gusts over 50--according to iWindsurf--and the kite turns on a dime--as would any 5m kite I assume. For me, I can have fun on the 2007 5m W on winds of POWERED 4.7 sailing down to POWERED 3.2 sailing for a 200lb windsurfer. I tend to use my experience in sail size, more than wind meters to help me pick what kite to ride.

Eric

Add tow point limiters to the front bridles on all 06 Warro's.
This will all but eliminate unwanted inverstions due to pilot error.
Very Happy

Got any pictures. Not worried about the limiters getting stuck in the pulleys?

Nope.

Thanks J.P.

Timely post - snapped my the bridle on my 06 7m this weekend - super simple to replace the section that wears with spectra like on the 07 - probably a good idea to replace on all your 06 kites

What Forrest said: '07 bar is much better than the '06, pump the kite hard, and check the knot setting on the LE bridles against the recommendations on the Best forum. Best came up with a 5 minute bridle mod for the early '06 model Waroos that made them fly better. Kites after a certain serial number already had the mod included.

As far as using a gauge and always going to 8 or 9 or 12 pounds just remember that most of the gauges on our pumps are not precision instruments and have not been calibrated. I've seen as much as 4 pounds difference between gauges when checking the same kite pressure. I pump my Waroos rock hard so they "ping" when flicked. I had a gauge that read about 11 when it got to this point that I liked to use until it broke. Anyway, use gauges as a relative reading - find a pressure you like to pump up to then you can use the gauge to get back to this pressure each time.

I don't pump the kite as hard as I can get it to go but my wife has to pretty much do a hand stand on the pump to get it to the pressure I put it to. No problems in two years of riding doing it this way.

I busted the bridle on my 06 12m last weekend. Now its time to get the spectra upgrades.

I know this is a little off topic, but can anyone who has flown the '06 9m waroo and the '07 9m comment on the difference in low end between them? I am just wondering if the beefier construction of the '07 has hurt the low end of the kite at all.
