| seems to be working now, i believe all you need is some version of the JRE (java runtime environment) available from java.sun.com

I have JRE installed... Just tried again, apparently the site wants to load an active X control, but windows won't let me install it??? Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

tools -> internet options, click the security tab, highlight the Internet Zone, click the custom level button.
One of the ActiveX controls and plugins is going to be set to disable, wait, i'll just read you my settings and if you match them, then hopefully it will work
automatic prompting for ActiveX controls
disable
binary and script behaviors
enable
download signed ActiveX controls
prompt
download unsigned activeX controls
disable
initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe
disable
run activeX controls and plugins
enable
script activeX controls marked safe fro scripting
enable
way down below in the scripting section
active scripting
enable
scripting of java applets
enable
that should do it, hope this helps.

this has been my experience too.
couldn't see image yesterday am but then tried again in the afternoon and it worked. didn't do anything to computer or settings....
image came back just in time yesterday to motivate me to da site... and catch some lingering easterly before it switched! was smootheeee S-butter!!!!![/quote]

I have had no kite cam for 3 weeks. Who is the web master for cityofstevenson.com
I sent an email to info@cityofstevenson.com
No word back.

bummer, i run windows 2003 server at work, and internet explorer enhanced security config, so my browser is somewhat different than XP's
it seems like i was getting the red X and the applet couldn't load on my home computer which is XP media center edition, if i get it to work i'll post my IE config tomorrow.

| It works fine for me at home over Comcast but behind work firewall on the same laptop it won't work - maybe you should check if your router is the culprit - paul

try using the firefox browser instead of Internet Explorer 7.
