Anyone who has ridden the mouth of the Sandy (boat/jet-ski access) bow your heads in honor of a fallen riding spot. It only worked rarely, but was great fun when it did. (Think flat water...) A mass of logs and debris was deposited there over the winter, just like the sandbar. It doesn't look like it will be rideable for a long time.

Let's not get hasty...it's only official when Bouganvilla99 declares it officially off limits. Let's hold our collective breath. |

No vehicle access, so a cleanup like at the spit probably won't work. Plus, it didn't work there very often, so it would be pretty hard to generate the same sort of interest. But what the hell, I think a bonfire is probably in order once the water drops! (Most of the debris is pretty well submerged now.) |
