What would you pay for a boat ride/pwc ride up to the lagoon, tail of the sand island where one could rig and launch? Or a canoe ride. One wouldn't have to shlog the gear in the muck or deal with any of the VS factor up close--I hate getting PTVSS. . . that is Post Traumatic Viet Schlong Syndrome. Last time for me it was some fat hairy nude dude just sitting down indian style in the shaded pathway.

The up side to the high water at RR is it allows trailer launches from the boat launch area. During the late summer, u can't even get a launch because the water is too low. wind and temps are strong. . .RR at its finest.

It's not too bad. Waist high wade to the 'inlet' area. Go Dragonfly path to Buffalo - that is the shortest. Too high to self launch though. In the sand just down from the parking lot looks more do-able for self launch w/o the wade. Best bet is Stevenson I would think.
