Still overcast here in Manzanita, but I'm hopeful. Swell is much cleaner than yesterday. Sat was great here, 12m all afternoon.

PostMon May 28, 07 11:14 pm    Manzanita was ON Monday ! Reply with quote

Hit the water at 1pm on my old 12m, cool and overcast, but awesome conditions (4' waves and solid wind), all to myself for a few hours, then a few other kiters joined in the fun !! By 3pm all the overcast was gone, just like a normal summer day and the wind was picking up. The windsurfers started hitting the water in force. I ended calling it a day at 3:30 (too windy for the 12m and time to drive back to HR). Joe was waiting for the stonger wind, he hit the water on his new 7m Bularoo just as I was leaving, he looked dialed !! Definately a great day at Manzanita.

sunday at rufus was a hard act to beat, but manzanita made a solid showing monday.

i finally realized how much incredibly easier it is to ride waves (and ride over waves) with straps. wow. i think i like it for those conditions.

lots of people left early. perhaps due to lack of windline awareness and kiting in the upwind/inshore holes?
