I recently bought 2 new Slingshot 2018 COMPSTICK W/GUARDIAN. When looking the lines they had tags stating that the front lines were longer than the back lines. Example: Front 20.6m Back 20m. I mostly thought that line sets were equal in length. Am I missing something?

Thanks

Anthony

Slingshot length is based on the length of the steering lines.

The front lines are not equal in length. One attaches at the V swivel and the other front line needs to be longer because it feeds thru the V swivel and extends all the way to the chicken loop. This is the Slingshot single line safety system. Thus the longer front line is listed as 20.6 (extra .6 meter or 23.6 inches).

The two front lines are equal to each other. The Bungee attaches to one and feeds from the swivel back to the chicken loop.

As ldhr points out the front lines are longer because of the leader lines attached to the rear lines. All four lines are equal length as installed, including all hardware and leader lines. When you tune your bar, all four lines should be equal length with the depower line at the full power setting.
