Looks like it's already starting to build...9:30 am and it's already at
11 NNW...At this rate, it'll probably be 30+ by the time 4 o'clock comes around...
I seriously don't remember it blowing 3-4 days in a row...
Is this really happening...?
And it's forecasted to blow again for tomorrow....
Nice....!!! |

I wish I could get out there. I am flying home to phoenix, but I will be back next week. I'll be hitting Sauvie's as soon as I can! |

I'm in shock too! In fact, I can't really move and I am foaming at the mouth. I also have a rash covering my entire body and my vision is dotted by funny purple creatures flipping me the bird. My nuts just fell off and I think I am going deaf.
Not sure what's in that water, but I need some more!!! |

I think I have some poo-water in my ear, from trying a Ruben-inspired kite loop, and landing ear-first in the water. _________________ Shallow Dive Design, 2nd Wind Sports, Airush, Trident Sports |

You know, some times a little bit of poo-water can be good for you...
Helps kill off all them tiny little critters living in those hard to reach places...
But I must agree, SI water always seems to give me that stuffy nose... |

2.1 billion gallons of sewer water to be exact.... but don't worry its a mix of storm water run off which includes oil off the street and whatever nasty stuff anyone decided to dump down their sink. Luckily it only happens every time it rains (which is a lot.)

Don't forget all that fertilizer and run off from all those farms. Oh yeah and that Hanford leak still isn't fixed... mmm nuclear waste, good stuff.
But the smell could have also been the paper mill. |

Skanky water! Sauvies seemed like Evian compared to the coast last night - We were having the sweetest downwinder from Sunset to Seaside, wind, nice waves, light till 8:30 with the exception of some nasty yellow mucous water. Hoping it was red tide, the water at Seaside had glowing yellow bubbles and very poo like coloring.
At the end of the session went to dunk the board to get the sand off and decided to leave the sand on - squirt water trumps sand. |

PKH,
Too much info!!!
maybe i should have kept my head buried in the sand, and just fantasized that it was just the paper mill.
oh well, i drank a few mouthfuls of sauvies water yesterday and my bowels seem to work ok and i;m not dead. maybe if i have kids one day, they'll have 3 eyes and say, "thanks for sailing Sauvies Dad!". Until then, I guess i just keep doing it cause its too much fun! |

Nicely powered to no power on 7m and strapless surfboard - shoulder to head high - some super clean sections when the wind dropped out - challenging to keep it all moving down the line in the lulls without dropping the kite. |

Very funny.
As I was leaving last night a new kiter came up to me and asked me if the water always smelled bad? I had to laugh and welcome him to Sauvies.

Today wasn't good compared to yesterday... Man yesterday spoiled us! Today was a typical Sauvies day... barely enough wind to ride and onshore
Oh well... it beats being at work! |

It got better after you left man... I didn't go back out on my 13, but everyone was rippin' in 9-13m wind (Tony and Dano were still on their Machines). Left at 9:00, and there was still one guy riding!!! |
