Looking at several square miles of bay water and rock steady wind. Only brought my surfboard. Anyone foiled this? Depth issues? Shipping lane is very well marked. Tides, but two miles of beach is you need to walk of shame.

Walk of shame in the channel could be a looooooooong walk back on the jetty or from another state.
Wind can get very fickle out in the middle of the channel.

Might be better off launching down in Youngs Bay if you want to be in open water.
Or
Talk to Josh at Cleanline to see what he knows about wind/currents in the channel.

The north side of Lot D is deep enough to foil and it’s just a bit lighter than lot B. I’d feel safe enough to stay within 1/4 mile and you can sometimes get small peeling shorebreak when it’s really windy and the swell is over 6’ outside. The south side where we kite in the winter has shallow spots except at the top of high tide.

Many thanks. Might be fun to get a foil session in before Lot B kicks in for the late afternoon. That is exactly where I was this morning, looking at perfect 6m Foil wind.
