It would probably be pretty tough to get a trailer down there. _________________ [b:13763ca0d3]The CGKA is your advocate for Kiteboarding in the Gorge! [i:13763ca0d3] Join now: [/i:13763ca0d3]GorgeKiter.com/join[/b:13763ca0d3] |

Inept_Fun wrote: | it pisses me off when i look at that map and only see NO KITEBOARDING zones. Where are the No Windsurfing zones, why do windsurfers have more of a right to launching in certain areas then we do? Why are we having the kiters launching closer to were pedestrians are going to be? Shouldnt we be kept away from the marina and its crowds? Why is where we get to launch a huge walk away from where we park? And why do we have to launch close to the "dangerous" current? |
Yea, let them put their poles and buoy markers up their A$$. Every inch of the sand is Free and for Everyone. |

2nd that
I'm a big fan of PE's "Fight the Power", but over the years I have learned that it's more effective to make changes from within. Every one go vote and go to the council meetings. The HR meeting was the first public meeting I went to, and I’m 35! |

Remember, we're agreeing to these rules and guidelines to ensure that we can all continue to kite safely and with permission at the Sandbar.
ALL ACCESS(even the State owned land) at the Sandbar is managed by the Port of Hood River.
If we break the rules, we will only show the State of Oregon and the Port of Hood River that kiteboarders cannot be trusted to work with.
Let's keep the positive mojo burning!!!

Can we still launch off the crook in the hook?
Too bad the port did not build a water level
kite launch there. That would give more
experienced kiters easy access to the Bridge
and area off Wells where the wind is cleanest
and keep us well away from the windsurfers. |

I second that notion. how long has it been since the Event Site was built? long enough. its time for the "Port Authority" whatever that is, to go away and relinquish our hostage waterfront. its time for the town to embrace its potentail. plow down the levees. Maximize the Waterfront. |
