Rooster could be good today, hard to say what the smoke situation will be there once the easterlies kick in. |

Stevenson came up nicely. Very interesting, in that the air temperature on the OR 1/3 of the river was 10 degrees warmer than the WA 2/3--it was a distinct horizontal thermocline. Maybe some kind of vortex from the fire?
Such a great crew at Stevenson. I always feel welcomed.

For foiling the Coast... I foiled parking lot B to Shipwrecks and back on Saturday. Fun, but for me it was nervous. I would like to come further inside and aggressively attack the wave faces, but for my skills it seemed risky for hitting my mast & wing on the bottom. After a downwind-then-upwind I switched back to a Mako. Fun.
Than on Sunday I discovered the launch into preferable foil conditions at parking lot D. This puts you in the river. IMHO steadier winds than Jones beach. Super steady, and one of the few places for wind on Sunday. _________________ CGKA Member
