Page 5 (of the Paper) is very interesting.....

"Not that the new rules will likely be enforceable. Most of the sandbar is public land, owned by the state Department of State lands, open to all legal uses."

"Not that the new rules will likely be enforceable. Most of the sandbar is public land, owned by the state Department of State lands, open to all legal uses."

- The way we proposed these new guidelines to the Sheriff and Port were that we can manage ourselves. If we can manage ourselves, then we don't need the Port, Sheriff and State to intervene and tell us what we can and cannot do.
Isn't this what all of us want, to be able to control our own destiny and not have the law have to step in and tell us what to do?

The reporter for this article provided good technical data, but apparently overlooked actually speaking with anyone from the kiting or windsurfing community to get a good basis of the facts and goals of the local kite/windsurf community.
