As the New Year kicked off, I was roaming around the Continental Divide at Monida Pass, Montana-Idaho border. Read all about it:

Conditions are good and getting better every storm.

See ya out there,

Noah

Great write-up, heading there on Sunday en route to Butte/Bozeman. Stoked to kite this spot.

Noah - That looks like a sick camper!
Does it have it's own webpage where I can see the specs and customizations?

The camper was custom built from the ground up in '95. It was built up from an empty Born Free brand RV chassis.

The first owner had deep pockets. His first order of business was to convert it to 4x4. Then it was built out in a boat yard with full marine grade components. Solar (6 - 55-watt panels), propane generator (100 # propane tank), Pro-Heat diesel burner (hydronic heat), four 8D batteries (I replaced with AGMs), full cherry cabinet interior (43 cabinets!), massive breaker panel, the list goes on.

In the year of construction, this rig was certainly futuristic.

Ford 7.3 diesel had 23,000 mi on it when I found it (3+years looking) sitting in an RV park in Missouri. It had a bunch of delayed maintenance and I have had to personally do a bit of work (new generator, batteries, refrigerator, the list goes on...). 11.5mpg without hauling sleds, 9.5mpg hauling sleds.
