As always I'm going Erratic! I'm abandoning early season snowkiting this year and heading south. The sun set below the horizon a few days ago here in Deadhorse and it won't be back for a few months. Its dark and cold and I don't feel I got enough kiting in this summer.

I'm taking off out of Hood River next week for La Ventana. I'm taking the motorcycle down and have space for small items / parts / pieces.. etc. if anyone needs anything transported. I should arrive by the 7th.

Dan

Made it.

Bellacera directional / kitefoil board, a 7, 9.5 and 12m kites plus pump, bar and harness. Snorkeling gear, clothes, tools and parts. Yeah that was fun.

Fun reading your post... wish I didn't have a job where I can't take that kinda time off, but there's always retirement...

Enjoy!

Ha - Trip to Puerto Penasco this year we packed everything but the kitchen sink...

Can't see from this picture but I had to double stack with a kite bag on the 2nd tier because there was no room in the back of the truck...

PostSun Jan 29, 17 5:17 pm    Thanks John Bellacera for the Board!!! Reply with quote

Two sessions at Rufus that ended with me really questioning the whole foil board thing - and five sessions here in LV that changed my mind instantly and I'm finally riding (like a fainting goat)

Foot placement getting dialed in, starts in both directions are good and a I giggle like the Pillsbury Dough Boy every time I fly the foil.

I finally met Kip (sorry Nak)- and Larry has been a big help in fine tuning the little things.

I'm lucky to be alive with no stitches, cuts, bruises. I'm glad I bought a helmet again and an impact vest would of been even better; but I digress... as I head back to work tomorrow (sigh...) I am already looking forward to part III of my trip returning in February to keep the dream alive.

I just got back from La Ventana and actually remember meeting you. I was asking about your ride! I hope the rest of your journey is smooth.
