Great write up. I've thought of making that trip on a motorcycle... that's a long ride though... We just bought a van and will probably take that. Ha. I headed down to the Grand Canyon from Salem on my 550 last April. DIY'ed windshield and hard cases- had fun with the packing. I have yet to load my kite gear on it though. I'm a little bummed to be leaving good winds, sand, sun, warmth, and absolutely fantastic people. The good news is that I completed my application to the Foil Army and am looking forward to living a crime free life of kiting with y'all in the Gorge....
