Would love to hear from Switch Nitro 5 riders on how their Nitro 5 kites are holding up, Switch kite appear to be well built and better than some other brands. Have you had any issues with your Nitro 5 after 10-12 sessions.
I would like to know how they are holding up. Also as a rule do you generally check you kite thoroughly after each session.

I bought a Nitro 12m earlier this year and have no issues with construction quality or its ability to withstand punishment. The kite is built tough. There are several Youtube videos people have created reviewing construction quality. |

Durability wise I haven't flown any other kite anywhere that is built better. I've flown a few different brands. Stitching, reinforcements, canopy & bridle materials are all as good is not better than any. The downside of such a well built kite is weight. The nitro 5's are not light wind kites and only perform at their peak in the top 1/2 of their range for size. I really love them in snow. |

Flying wise I love it. Has that c-kite direct feel and jumps huge.
My nitro 5 developed a leak at the inflate valve after a hard crash. I now have to put plumbers tape on it so it does not leak. Also had a few small rips on canopy, more then my slingshot fuel I used many more sessions has. Not saying it is a design error but take it for what it is.
I will second about them not being lightwind kite. I find the nitro the most fun when at the top of its range. |
