I wouldn't mind hitting you up some time. But i will tell you from the start, i don't buy New kites. Overpriced in my opinion. So i will be trying and buying off the used market. |

No such thing as an unbiased review...
Everybody always likes what they own... That's why they bought it
Perhaps if you post your riding style you will get some better feedback..
That being said, for my style I like Rally's for big kites and RPMs in the smaller range. _________________ Kiting starts at 40MPH |

Talk to Nate at Jones - he would probably let you demo some gear. _________________ Still rockin gojos, *ssless chaps, and ankle weights! |

This is really the key. So many good brands/kites it's best to narrow down what fits your style/progression goals and a few consistent names will pop up. All, most likely, will fit your need and after next weekend kites will be flooding the used market. |

I hate what I fly. I have been trying to get away from my brand of kites since the first year I flew them. The change of bars was a necessity early on as my brand's bar was straight up defective for a rider over 200lbs. The kites.....well, I grew into. I have tuned my riding to them. Now I am searching for a different label on the same kite from the same factory in China.
I have demoed a bunch that will not work for me from a performance standpoint with regards to my style of riding. I have demoed a few that would kind of work if I change my style of riding significantly from how I ride now. There are 2 of those brands out there, one with a hight availability used/closeout, and one with a low price new but no availability used or closeout. I am hoping to avoid having to go with these kites.
I have also demoed some "plug and play" kites that I could quiver up with right now which would take only a week to learn the quirks of. Unfortunately, they are expensive brands with a low availability used/closeout. So they are out since I am on the low income side of kiteboarding.
Bunch of factors your have to take into account. I am sure what you want is something close to an 08 nemesis. Good luck in your search and sorry for not helping. _________________ MSN has temporarily removed commenting on our websites while we explore better ways for you to engage in discussion on the issues you care about. |

The Kiteboarder magazine tests kites each year in La Ventana.
They invite the public to participate by going to La Ventana for a week at the expense of the participant. In other words - you pay to participate but it's worth every penny.
They stay at Palapas Ventana, all meals are provided, and you have 20 kites pumped, rigged and ready on the beach. All you have to do is eat, drink, and kite. You get to try as many kites as you have the endurance for.
I participated 2 years ago and I know most of the testers.
Most of them are not affiliated with any part of the kite industry.... they just love to kite.
The reviews on this website are exactly what the reviewers wrote down and there's no bias towards any one brand.
The reviews are for freeride kites - you won't find wave specific or wakestyle kites.
