My wife and I are thinking about spending 11/15 - 12/15 in Baja. I was in LV twice so I know about that place. Never been to LB but am curious. I have heard that the wind can be more consistent and stronger in LV but that the waves in LB can be a bonus. IMO LV has no real "town" to speak of. Is LB similar? Also, I would need good wifi to work. How has the wifi improved if at all in these areas? Thanks! |

1. November and early December are early season -
it's not as consistently windy as later in the season.
2. LB is a bigger town with a "downtown" area that's pretty nice.
Good selection of restaurants and shops.
3. LV may be a couple knots better wind but I think LB has better swell.
Personally - I'd rather ride a 10m in nice swell versus a 8m in chop.
4. I was in LB last February and the house I stayed in had reliable Wifi.
The last time I was in LV (2014) it sucked everywhere but there's rumor of fiber
optic upgrade but it may be a rumor. It was not an option for me to work remote
from LV as the system was slow and would not respond most mornings due to
overload of traffic.
5. The demographic in LB is old people - everybody is AARP eligible.
LV is a younger crowd. |
