No, kiting actually. Sprained ankle. Had the bottom laces (boots) really tight and the top loose for maneuverability/grabs. Took a hard crash and foot came half out but was still locked down from bottom laces, so foot was in a real awkward position. I think ya gotta either have them all loose so foot comes out easy, or not loose at all. Was a stupid decision. Hopefully forecast sticks for tomorrow, sounds like fun!

I'd be interested on how it went. I was about to pump up at Cannon Beach, but there was too much wind. Seemed like an average of mid30's+ with some major gusts. Hope everyone stays safe out there.
Cheers!

Had I gotten there a few hours earlier before it bumped up. Around 1345 or so I had the 7m in the air for about two minutes. It was too punchy to have any fun.
An earlier kiter had a great session on an 11m and came in when it started to bump up around 1300.
Maybe next time.

AK and I agreed it was too gnarly at Shipwreck. Too close to high tide and blowing 6m. Went to lot D to see Nate finish but it was still gaining. Blowing 50 at 2 when I left. Looks like NOAAs first forecast on Thursday was better than their updated one.
