Hey Ryan,
South Lake has the spot. Red Mt. pass or something near Kirkwood. Park and hike up a bit. We kited it a few times back years ago. At N. Lake Tyler runs a school in a zone on the other side of the pass. Mt.Rose meadows is OK but small.
The desert near Mammoth is awesome but seldom does everything line up. Snowkiting there about 12 years ago is when we met the rock star, Flea.
Maybe some new zones have been found since.
Have FUN,
Ken |

Never been and not affiliated but: http://www.sierrasnowkite.com/
Was just in Mammoth area and not much low altitude coverage to promote park and ride yet, sadly. Great snow above 9,000ft if you hike though. |

Snow conditions are great this year. Good wind & ideal direction is still a challenge to find though. It's been VERY hit and miss... as usual. |
