Okay, lets say you are road trippin from the HR to San Diego and you leave March 22nd, a Thursday, you need to be back the following weekend.
Where do you go for wind? Where do you stop on the way down? And you can not keep going to south baja, you might be able to make it as far as Rauls.

With your wetsuit you can hit:
SF area:
Sherman Island (Rio Vista)
Waddel Creek (Half Moon Bay)
3rd Ave (Peninsula)
Alameda (North Bay)
Fort Point (If you're up for a challenge)
Santa Barbara:
Jalama Point
Long Beach/LA:
Belmont Shores
San Diego:

And, keep cruising to San Carlos in Baja if you want. It's about 8 hours South of the border on the West coast. I think we'll actually be there from Sat.-Fri. that week (March 24-31). In the bay area Sherman Island and Waddell Creek are for sure the places to hit. Sherman for awesome flat water river riding, and Waddell for killer waves. Hopefully there'll be wind by then. March is usually the ramp-up month and usually there's solid wind towards the end, but last year we got skunked until well into April.
