Just got back from PSC today after being there for nine days of bliss. Looked just like your photos except there were quite a few windsurfers in the lineup which made it challenging to ride waves while weaving thru the poleboarders. No collisions so it was all good. Great photos of yours!

Kiters way outnumbered the poleboarders when we were there. Would much rather deal with them than that many kiters. At one point I counted 20 kites on the water, which is a lot for that spot! |

Would be a great adventure down there. Is there a better time than others to avoid the pole dancers !! _________________ Take a breath; inhale |

Solosports is open from April 18 to November 1st. Anytime out of those dates are going to be your best times to avoid lots of folks there. Of course, the dates they are open are the best times for wind and waves.
March and early April can be quite windy. Those would probably be your best times to avoid crowds and get wind. |

Check the Solo Sports schedule and visit during an open week (or kite week) rather than during a windsurfing clinic week.

I have been dreaming of this place again I was wondering if anyone knows the drive time for the final leg after you leave hwy 1 and hit the dirt road. Is some of it sketchy even with a 4wd pickup? Thanks |

The drive time really depends on what vehicle you take out there, as that will dictate your speed. Guys towing fifth wheels take about three hours. Guys in Toyota trucks do it in about an hour.
There is no need for 4WD, unless there has recently been a lot of rain. Ground clearance does help.
It is 40 miles on dirt. I usually do it in about 1:15 - 1:30 in my lifted 4x4 van, but I have never put it in 4wd on that road. |

If you cross the border from San Diego in the early morning - say 6:30 or 7:00 you can be on the beach at PSC by 2 or 3.
It's six hours to the turnoff and figure 2 more on the dirt roads. |

Agreed, it's about an hour in a pickup down that road. Word of warning, those Baja rocks are super sharp. Bring a spare for the spare.... |

This is good advice. Once you get one flat, then you have no spare, which is really sketchy on a dirt road in Baja! Two spares is a must! |
