If there is some snow-kiting close to P-town and not much hiking invloved, then I would be way down....Are there some goods on Old Dalles Mt. still? prob.not..

Otherwise, if the ponds look good then I am in on Sun. morning.

Two questions:

1) Does Anyone know if Timberline (Palmer Glacier) blow when the forecast is easterly? I'd be down to hike up above the mile for some snow kitting.

2) How's the tide looking for the Ponds in Astoria? I'd be down to kite out there Sunday.

Can't make it on Saturday, hiking up St Helens and getting in some turns instead.

Hopefully Sunday will work.

I'll probably get Trolled for sharing, but I heard that there's good riding lately even at low tide cause the overall levels are up...

But still, the more elbow room the better.. I say as soon as the temp cracks 40 and there's wind, parking lot D will be the place to be.

Very Happy

PacWave is open at 10 for those that need to pick up some extra neoprene on their way in!

PS “Foil Boy” was out riding at Stevenson Friday around 3pm on a very small foil kite. Windsurfers out as well….

PPS Shot of Rooster Rock from I-84 looking east. River looked pretty high. We didn’t pull in to check it out though….

well according to this, it looks like there will be east wind on the mountain. I'm still trying to figure out how to pinpoint timberline lodge exactly on the NWS portland site, but i think this is pretty close to timberline.

I'm heading up to Meadows in a bit, so we'll see how the wind is tonight. Probably will take the kites anyway, just incase...

Water @ Rooster is pretty low - water just in the path areas - should be an easy & no more than knee deep walk to the typical launch area. Wind is insane - at vista point it was hard to walk and even stand - wind spray off the water. - C

Cool, so Rooster is do-able if there is normal wind...?

It looks like the ponds might drop-off early and I can't make it out too early, so I think we are going to try rooster if anyone is in.?.sounds like the water level is manageable.

Did anyone go out today? it was nuking up at the mountain..

Rooster tomm..? Idea
