Looking to rent gear in the Gorge

I just arrived in the Gorge from the East Coast and did not bring any of my gear. Wondering if anyone can recommend a place to rent/demo gear for the next three days? I suppose a loan is out of the question, but perhaps someone might be willing to rent their personal gear? Willing to meet and have skills evaluated if that'd make a potential rental/loan/beer swap more comfortable.

I could be mistaken, but pretty sure nobody rents kites due to liability issues.

If you have an IKO card, some schools can rent you gear provided they don't need it for lessons. I've rented 7m kite twice at the Event Site - it's pricey though, you can buy new kite for a price of couple of days of renting.

Probably plenty of 1 yr old used kites for sale as lots of folk sell-off this year's kites and purchase next year's.

Try the classifieds link up top on this forum.

If you are/were willing to rent, take the cost of a rental off your new used kite and you should be able to unload it no problem.

Thanks for the replies! I ended up finding a solution, but totally appreciate the input! I'll be back soon and next time won't make the mistake of not bringing my gear.
