Mon Aug 10, 15 8:30 pm First East wind Rooster Rock summer session? |
|
|
Ok, we usually have a bet on when SI will first blow and be ridden with N/NW/NE winds in Spring.
SO, I thought I would do the same with Rooster Rock and East winds.
I'm guessing 08-18-15.
Winner gets to hang out for the day with Rooster Rock naked sunbathing ambassador Captain America;-) |

.. And what a summer it's been so far. I would love to see wind stats comparing the years. |

I looked at the BV pinpoint NOAA forecast and it is calling for east winds like 10 mph at best.
I think I'll go coastal instead. |

Temira is calling for E 16-19, but we'd have to wait for Saturday morning to see what's really happening. Coast might actually be nice this Saturday as well _________________ My pictures of the beautiful PNW

Yep, it is looking hot and windy for Sat.
Noaa:
Saturday
Widespread haze. Sunny, with a high near 90. East wind 7 to 12 mph increasing to 13 to 18 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.
Saturday Night
Widespread haze. Clear, with a low around 57. East northeast wind 8 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
Hopefully it will be hazy enough so you CAN't see Capt. America's privates.

Yes, Manzo can work with North winds. However, it usually is best to go down to the last street that boarders the State Park or the day use access at the State Park. NW and more west winds tend to fill in more by the Mtn.
The forecast from NOAA is looking pretty strong, so I'm actually hope for the Northern Strip for some tasty dw'ers! |

The wind at Rooster Rock just kicked in today.
The average jumped up by 20mph in just 35 minutes! |
