Thu Jul 23, 15 6:17 pm Similar kite to Rebel with a little less bar pressure |
|
|
Hi, I am a 47yo, freeride, wave, part time foiler, who has been on Rebels for 8 years. I love them for all of their known attributes but I am wondering if there is a kite out there with similar attributes that might have a little less bar pressure than the Rebel?
Thanks |

What year(s) have you tried? When the Rebels first came out (~2007) they had heavy bar pressure, but over the years North responded to customer feedback and it has changed through the years. I have 2008 and 2012 Rebels and they are worlds apart in many ways, including bar pressure. (I also have 2010 Fuses, which are essentially 4-line Rebels). Bar designs have evolved too, and I don't remember specifics but you should be able to adjust bar pressure on some of the North setups. |

i have not flown a rebel but from what I've heard from friends about their characteristics id say the naish pivot fits pretty well. light bar pressure, great low end, great depower and easy jumping with gentle landings. they are much lighter in the air as well.
good luck |

I am a huge fan a very light bar pressure.
The last three years I've owned the following kites; I sold all, but SS Rally's 2012 with the lightest bar pressure.
IMO: Bar pressures listed low pressure to high
SS Rally 2012.
SS Rally 2014,
Drifters, Pivot tied
Neo's,
The newest 2016 Rally is said to be similar to the desirable 2012 Rally (TBD). |
