So, its basically a pfd, right?
A flotation device strapped to your wrist. So now can I use it to comply with the stupid law that says my SUP is a boat? _________________ Misinformed |

This whole thing works on the premise that you are conscious and coherent.
I'll stick with my Hello Kitty water wings. _________________ Pull the cork. |

I doubt it is Coast Guard approved, so you'll still have to take a real PFD with you on a SUP.
This is smart backup if you are kiting alone, especially in colder waters.
I bought two, primarily for my kids use at the coast. _________________ Jeff |

I think the comment about using it to satisify the SUP PFD requirement was sarcastic, but just in case it wasn't...
I'm not familar with the exact requirements for SUP's and PFDs, but i assume they require a coast guard approved class III pfd, and i saw no mention of coast guard approval, nor can i image that thing could get coast guard approved.
there are coast guard approved inflatable PFD that are worn around the waist. Not as small as this thing, but definitely better as a PFD.
still better than nothing though. |

The sarcasm is my post was that an SUP is a boat. I have no problem with my PFD in whitewater, but I think it's a ridiculous requirement on flatwater. _________________ Misinformed |

interesting concept - but no way would I want to kite , swim, sup, or do anything else with that think strapped to my wrist.
it also looks like there's no way to swim while you're gripping the orange ball. |
