The 9th Annual Kiteboarding 4 Cancer, powered by Patagonia, is on for July 10-12!

KB4C empowers kiteboarders from all over to race and endure in a 6 Hour Kite Derby Endurance Race and Team Relay kiteboarding events to raise money for Athletes 4 Cancer's Survivorship Programs for young adults with cancer.
Multiple ways to GET INVOLVED:
1. Kite the Kite Derby as an Individual!
Register for $75 > or
Fundraise a minimum of $500 for Entry >
Get a load of cool swag, plus ticket to the Athletes Dinner Friday night, the Athletes Lounge, Ahi's amazing Camp Koru lunch on Saturday, a beverage ticket, and entry into the 6-hour kite derby and the relay race on Sunday. Learn about the programs for which KB4C fundraises.
2. Kite the Derby as a TEAM!
Way more fun because you get to enjoy all the activities on the beach as well as on the water!
Register in the same way as above but select a team of 4.
You can also fundraise as a team by fundraising a minimum of $2000 as a team!
3. Volunteer > One of the best volunteer gigs ever! You get to be outside on the beautiful Hood River waterfront, listening to music, answering questions, and occasionally counting laps. You also get an event tee for volunteering a minimum of 6 hours over the weekend.
4. Get your inner-Artist On! > Boards of Hope invites artists of all levels to get in touch with their creative side, recycle a used board, and transform it into something amazing. Your repurposed creation will be auctioned off to repurpose someone's life after cancer.
5. Just bring the family & enjoy the event!
There's lots going on at Kiteboarding 4 Cancer including...
• Live Music all weekend: 6 Bands!
• Kids Art Tent! Kids will have a plethora of canvases (boards, shirts & cars!) to get their inner artist on!
• Full Sail Brewing Beer Garden - Flowing all day from Friday at 4 pm through Sunday at 6 pm
• Silent Auction - All day Saturday, ends at 6 pm
• Live Auction - 6:30 pm Saturday
• Patagonia Worn Wear Truck - Bring your worn or repair-begging outerwear. Patagonia is bringing their sewing machine & talented seamstresses. What a match.
• Wholesome hearty food - 4 & 20 Blackbirds, Leah's Lunch & The Local Grind will all be at KB4C
• Cornhole - Need we say more?

Thanks for the recap on the results Mark. Grom still has a slight edge on the individual foil boarders and the board riding teams but they are catching up. I think the foil teams beat his lap count but I don't recall the numbers.
Great event and a long day on the water. Was nice to have wind even though it kept changing direction on us and had a couple of low spots in the afternoon. The short course made for much more challenging riding but it also seemed to make the day go by faster.
Kudo's to Tonia, Garret, Greg, Alina and the rest of the KB4C team. Awesome as always!
