The central coast finally came to a close today after running straight with 11 days of north wind goodness. Week ago Thursday 6/4 was the "creme" with perfect southern hemi ground swell 6'@18 seconds, solid 20-25 knots and no marine layer. After that you had to be either lucky or knowledgeable to get the goods as there were days of localized heavy marine layer, blocks of good wind only at certain times of the day, and swell ranging from big to small.
Sometimes late morning was the call or it could only be at the end of the day or maybe at the usual mid afternoon time frame. None the less it was good everyday at sometime and if you were on it, then you scored! Here are a few snapshots of the parade.

Now that I know who the Windian is - I can say this about him - the guy has style and knows how to have fun in the waves!
It was a privilege to share waves with you early last Saturday morning at the Jetty.
June has been the best month in many years.....12 days in a row (coast and Hood River) including 3 great days at Ft Stevens, 2 great days at Newport and a couple of 5m days in the corridor.

12 days in a row...it is now 13 and maybe 14. Manzo 9/10 m right now (Osr) and about to hit it. Tremendous run for n/NW coastal wind. I hope I'm wrong, but I doubt we'll be so blessed for such a long run again for the rest of the n/NW season on the Oregon coast. That is to say, for 75% or more of the Oregon coast. South coast and Manzo don't count. I hope I'm wrong an I'll bet a 6 pack of micros (Oregon made only...got to support your local economy:-). )
Good winds and tasty waves to all!

Nice pics! And yes, Thursday 6/4 was SICK! We hit it earlier at the jetty right when the wind ramped up to 9m, probably some of the best/cleanest waves I've ever kited!

I was there on 6/4 towards the middle of the day and evening on my 9.5. Fun riding for sure!

Spring is the new summer
Was noticing the sensors all lit up for days on end up there
We had a few N gales here in March & April that were off the charts
Way to charge it
