. . . with a current model from slingshot that's as close of a match to the T3 as possible.
Any suggestions?

That would be a Rally, or a Z kite. The Z is more entry level, (get a Rally).

They are just coming out with their Wave kite, don't know what they're calling it, but I saw Tony flying em and they look pretty sick!

What Dangler said. Get a Rally. Better in every way than a T3, but very easy to transition to from a T2/T3. If you loved your T3, decent people won't even want to see you around a Rally. Very Happy

What those guys said.

I started w/ a couple Turbos (a II and a III), added a Z, and then added 2014 Rallys last year. It was a really easy transition--a no-brainer. You will be stoked. Another plus is that there's usually a bunch of them for sale on the classified pages.

And when you damage it, put it in a box and mail it to Dangler for repair. Can't say enough about what a great job he does...
