Every year Audi sends a few "testing" cars up to the North Slope for Cold Weather testing. Last week we had a week straight of -45 to -65 days with the winds. This week it's warm at -6.
They cleared off "Kite Lake" and setup their testing track a few days ago. I took a few laps before they came back.
Interesting contrast when they arrive. We have gigantic oil drill rigs, tractor trailers, customized big tired behemoth trucks and regular super duty trucks - then these cute little sport cars show up for a month or so racing around on tracks and the haul road.
Anyway a few shots to share with you all. 800 miles to the south our local crew is about to get in to our April season kiting on Turnagain Arm. I'm so ready for warm weather again!!!
