We are probably heading that direction tomorrow ... I've never actually had a successful session at the ponds (nuked or skunked), so I'm dubious of the 10ish mph forecast.

What sort of wind do you usually get on that? 0-20? Smile

Looks like the forecast lightened the wind up a bit.
I'm 210lbs and bringing all three 11/15 and 18M kites..

What forecast site is good for the ponds? Haven't been there yet; hopefully it goes tomorrow.

the optimal forecast for the ponds is 15mph with a slack tide/full lagoon in the late morning. Ebb tide with east winds as the tide and winds are opposing forces an increase one's apparent wind speed (same effect as kiting in the gorge/Columbia with West wind and current originating from the east).

Anyone out there on Sunday? I´m thinking about driving again from Salem, it´s always better to ride with others. Last weekend was pretty good.

The wind was too light today and the forecast doesn't look promising for tomorrow.

Unfortunately, the wind never picked-up today but was a good day for aerial shots.

I'm in Portland, but from experience, I'd say it's 15-20 at lot d now and ramping up to 10m by noon. 8m at Stevenson

Looks like it might "Go" again tomorrow, coordinating with family unit on heading over in the late-morning to play in outgoing tide conditions...(9AM high-tide)... Smile

Of course, my call last week for Saturday was a bust, but I heard people got out on Sunday...

Bring on SPRING!!

Hi Steve... Yesterday's forecast for Saturday at Fort Stevens looked a lot better than it does today...May have to make an early morning call (7:00AM) on that one to catch the high tide indeed.
