Howdy Folks,
Have any of you all been to Cozumel? I am heading down feb 9-18.
Any suggestions on what to bring for gear and are the kiting spots easy to find?
I will be staying at the Melia resort and was wondering if there is any kiting close by.
I would appreciate any tips or info on the area.
Thanks

Went last year, had a blast, tons of info about the trip posted here:

There are a bunch of us (like 14) headed down the same time as you. I'm sure we will run into you, there is really only one main kitebeach (Country Club.) You can find a lot of info on the beaches here:

As far as kite sizes, I used everything from 7m to 16m. Usually the wind was in the 11m-13m range though.

Chrisf,
I think your resort it right next to the house we are staying at. You will have to stop by and have a beer with us. Country Club (kitebeach) is right by your hotel you will probably be able to see kites from your room if you have a view

Hey Chris, we look forward to meeting you in Cozumel - looks like you picked a resort right near Country Club beach where all of us are staying as well.
