I am trying to arrange a snow kite adventure over the long weekend. I am talking with the snow kite Utah guy and have reached out to a couple other groups. I don't have any solid plans yet but am hoping to firm up plans within the next few days.

I have an open spot if someone wants to give this a try. I will be taking my tacoma 4x4 and possibly pulling my sled. My sled trailer has an open spot.

I plan on leaving Wednesday night or Thursday morning. Should be about a 12 hours to get out there. The plan for coming back is leaving Monday mid day after a session. That would put me back late Monday or early AM Tuesday morning.

The Jackson hole crew has posted some pics on their Facebook page so it looks like there is snow and wind.

I will post more information as soon as I hear back from people.

If anyone is interested in coming let me know.

John

I definitely would... If the snow wasn't disappearing. It was over 2 feet a couple days ago currently down to 11" and falling. Looks like a Shipwreck to Sunset beach on 10' swells kind of Friday for me.

Meh - the forecasts I'm looking at are not looking favorable for Friday, despite what the coastal forecast is. I'm seeing light SW switching to light N relatively late in the day.

That's by no means a guarantee, but I'd be really cautious about the expectation of northerlies...

John, pray for visibility while you're at it...I think it's harder to come by than wind around Skyline...but Jacob will help you find the goods if they are out there! Thumb's Up

I heard there was good riding around Levenworth, WA. but I have never checked it out.

Exhaust after 13 hours of driving with only or 4 hours of sleep, and Turkey day session at 9600 ft.

Way to get it John! I'm exhausted just thinking about it! Maybe some new snow coming your way, fresh tracks? Had a great ride Monday, found a nice 2' powder meadow!

Pete did you get a session or just do some scouting? Maybe I made the wrong call. Lol.

Nah today's session was super fun. No new snow but I got to ride my new twisted snow kite board. It's pretty awesome.

You made the right call. between snow melting and lightning forecasted at the coast. I haven't had a kite in the air in over a week.

No, you're in the right place! Just a fun easy ride out of White River on the east side. No snowkiting. Good snow then, lots of rain on it since. Some snow coming tonight but too much rain mixed in. Just keep gettin it and post pictures so we can all live through you!

Today was a blast. I put up my 17 so I had a bit more juice today. Wind was about the same as yesterday Jacob was on a 13.5 I believe.

I found a nice little quarter pipe by the road, that was fun to do boost transitions.

I don't have the patience to deal with a go pro so I don't have any killer shots. Here's a few cell pictures.

Here's Jacob bringing my kite back to me after he helped clear out my inverted lines.

These crazy pitbulls were running around in the snow. They were hilarious I wish I could have gotten some pictures of that. They were very friendly too.

Quarter pipe tracks.

Taking a break after a failed back roll attempt.

Wind Forcast looks good for tomorrow. I can't wait.

I am staying in Fairview Utah.

Here is where we have been kiting.

Wind alert has a sensor real close but it seemed to work intermittently. Skyline.
