Tue Oct 14, 14 8:35 am OT: Recommendations for Lodging in HR |

Anyone have any recommendations for places to rent in HR for a wedding next June? We will have about 70 guests in town from ~18th-21st and would like to find a bunch of places within walking distance of each other in HR. We were originally thinking Hood River Inn but they seem overpriced and will not reserve a block of rooms without a catered wedding rehearsal?? |

It might be worth trying to negotiate something with the Best Western that you'd be comfortable with. Keep in mind that they include a pretty decent breakfast in the nightly rate. It's great to have everyone together, and the pool is a great gathering place. You're right on the river, little stores and some eating options nearby.
You might be able to cobble together some good home rentals...but the HR Inn would be an easy win.
Back in the day we took over Peach Beach camp ground for a wedding at Maryhill...that was pretty fun. |

When we had ours, we used the Vagabond, HR Hotel, friends' and inl-laws' houses, etc. Group was spread out a bit, but it really didn't matter. Everyone knows where to go. Congrats. |

Marryhill museum used to let people rent out the facility for weddings and we camped down at Peach Beach. There also are motels over in Biggs and Rufus.
Marryhill winery also hosts weddings. Yes, probably makes for some nasty logistics, but an awesome venue. |
