.THURSDAY...SUNNY...WINDY. HIGHS 70 TO 75. EAST WIND 25 TO 35 MPH.
GUSTS OF 45 MPH TO 55 MPH IN THE AFTERNOON.
.THURSDAY NIGHT...CLEAR...WINDY. LOWS 50 TO 55. EAST WIND 25 TO
35 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 55 MPH.
.FRIDAY...SUNNY...WINDY. HIGHS AROUND 80. EAST WIND 20 TO 30 MPH
WITH GUSTS TO 45 MPH.

Rooster is likely to get Nuked Out Thursday and Friday, but Stevenson should be very good with some nice swell as a bonus. It looks like winter strength east winds with more pleasant fall temperatures. Some forecasts are even hinting at kiteable easterlies for Rufus and maybe the Hood River sandbar?

Yep, it's blown out like a babies diaper. . . Broughton Beach or head down to lot D. High tide around 3:20pm ish

Found the pictures, see first post link. . . one of those days that Rooster is nuked out. If your jones’in for a session, one can point sail at Broughton Beach on Marine Drive. WATCH OUT for broken glass and other trash. And if you want to make an insurance claim, make sure to leave something visible in your car while your out kiting as some of the beach trash have legs and arms.

Broughton Beach can be the take-out for a downwinder on the Oregon side. The exciting part of the downwinder would be launching from the riprap rocky banks. Probably need a kite caddie and have someone hold the kite on top on the dike and have you being in the water. Don’t know of any sandy launches and or if Chinook boat landing would work. I think that boat ramp is like 181st/Blue lake.

I’ve point sailed before at Broughton beach, but have never done a downwinder and or went under the i-205 bridge before.

It's more like only the poleboarders or someone with a 4.5 m kite or less. I want to see this happen again. Anyone? "Bueller, Bueller?" Razz
